MALIBU, Calif. --- Portland pitchers Davis Tominaga and Jackson Lockwood combined to allow only three hits, Ryan Barr and Cooper Hummel each had multiple hits and an RBI, and the Pilots scored early and late to claim a 3-2 win over the Pepperdine Waves at Eddy D. Field on Saturday afternoon. The win evens the three-game West Coast Conference series, with the finale set for tomorrow at 1 p.m.
The Pilots (15-23, 2-12 WCC) jumped on the board early, scoring a run in the top of the first inning. With one out, Jason Rosen and Barr both singled, giving Portland runners on first and second.
