PORTLAND, Ore. --- The Portland Pilots were unable to fight their way back into their match against Pacific, falling in three sets on Saturday afternoon in the Chiles Center. The Tigers won by scores of 25-20, 25-18, and 25-19.
Junior Katie Barker led the Pilots in kills with 10, hitting .412% along with four total blocks, while junior Cali Thompson led the team in assists and digs with 28 and eight, respectively.
The Pilots (18-9, 6-9) begun the match battling for position with the Tigers (12-14, 7-8), until Pacific went on a 7-0 run including four of sophomore Kaitlyn Lines match-leading 18 kills to extend their first set lead to 11-6.
