STOCKTON, Calif. --- Portland's Kate Andersen scored a season-high 19 points and the Pilots hung around until the final buzzer, but the Pacific Tigers held on for an 87-77 win on Saturday afternoon at the Spanos Center. Maddie Muhlheim added 13 points for the Pilots, while Haylee Andrews finished with 11.
Portland (10-12, 2-9 WCC) jumped out to an early lead as a three from Darian Slaga, a lay-up by Julie Spencer, and one from beyond the arc from Muhlheim gave the Pilots a 15-8 edge. Portland held the Tigers (14-7, 7-4 WCC) without a point during that stretch, which would last for three minutes.
