STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific Tigers used suffocating defense and a double-double from Jahlil Tripp to record a 75-55 victory over Portland Thursday night in West Coast Conference play at the Spanos Center. Tripp finished with 18 points and 12 rebounds, while junior guard JoJo Walker scored a game-high 17 points for the Pilots.
The Tigers (20-9, 8-4 WCC) move into third-place in the league standings with the win, while the Pilots (9-18, 1-11) have now lost 10 straight. Pacific defeated Portland by a 65-55 margin at the Chiles Center last month.
A bright spot for Portland was graduate transfer Isaiah White reaching a career milestone.
