PORTLAND, Ore. – Portland pitchers allowed just two hits and Pilot freshman Trey Swygart drilled a walk-off home run to left center field to lead off the 10th inning in a thrilling 1-0 over the Loyola Marymount Lions Friday at Joe Etzel Field.
The home run put an end to a pitcher's duel as the team's combined for just seven total hits and rarely had runners in scoring position. Swygart collected three of those hits with two singles earlier in the contest.
Portland starter Curtis Hebert was sensational in his eight innings of work.
