PORTLAND, Ore. --- The Portland Pilots continued to create quality chances and dominated possession all game long, but the Seattle U Redhawks scored the game-winning goal in the 91st minute to escape Merlo Field with a 3-2 victory on a wet Sunday afternoon. MJ Roe and Taryn Ries scored Portland's two goals.
Roe's goal came in the 28th minute after the Redhawks had taken an early lead. Jamie Rita played a perfectly-timed through ball to Roe, and the freshman forward took a touch before hammering a shot from about 16 yards out that snuck just under the cross bar and leveled the score 1-1.
