STOCKTON, CALIF. – The Portland Pilots (9-8-0, 5-4-0 WCC) ended the regular season on a high note, shutting out and defeating the Pacific Tigers (10-6-3, 2-5-2 WCC) 2-0 in Stockton. Nedya Sawan scored both the goals for the Pilots.
WHAT JUST HAPPENED
- After a fairly even start, the Pilots struck first with a goal in the 38th minute. Sophia Mattice played a perfect ball into the box for Nedya Sawan, who headed it in for the first goal.
- The Pilots were aggressive in attacking the goal in both halves, taking 11 shots and putting five of them on frame.
