SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Portland Pilots pitcher Ryan Rembisz has been named WCC Pitcher of the Week after his masterful performance against the Seattle U Redhawks. It's the first WCC Player of the Week win for the Pilots this season.
Rembisz threw the 21st nine-inning perfect game in NCAA Division I history against the Redhawks last Tuesday and the first in Pilot history. He is the fourth Pilot to throw a no-hitter, the first since 1958 and the first to do so in nine innings. He threw just 90 pitches and struck out 12 batters on his way to one of the best pitching performances in college baseball history.
