STOCKTON, Calif. --- Portland junior Taryn Ries found the back of the net twice, and senior Lucy Davidson scored her first career goal as the Pilots shutout the Pacific Tigers 3-0 in a West Coast Conference women's soccer game played on Friday night at Knoles Field. Ries claims the game-winner, and she now has eight goals on the year.
The Pilots (6-5-4, 2-3-2 WCC) were aggressive early and created a handful of chances during the opening minutes. In the first and fifth minutes, the visiting side earned a corner, and both times the Pilots put a header towards the frame, with each attempt going wide.
