SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Portland forward Austin Rapp was named the Heluva Good Dip WCC Freshman of the Week for the third time in the last four weeks and a league-best fifth time overall this season, the conference office announced on Monday. Rapp filled the stat sheet and led the Pilots to home wins over Oregon State and LMU last week.
The Melbourne, Australia native averaged 19.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.5 steals and 2.5 blocks per game while shooting 54 percent from the field in the two victories. He went for a season high 24 points on 9-of-15 shooting along with four rebounds, two steals and two blocks in the team's 84-72 win over Oregon State Thursday.
