PORTLAND, Ore. – University of Portland men's basketball head coach Terry Porter announced the signing of point guard Chase Adams (Chicago, Ill./Orr HS/Link Year Prep – Branson, Mo.) to a National Letter of Intent on Tuesday. Adams will join the Pilots as a freshman next season.
Adams (5-8, 140) spent the past year at Link Year Preparatory School in Branson, Mo., after a stellar high school career in Chicago. Adams averaged 16 points, 7.3 assists and 2.8 steals per game while shooting 45 percent from three-point range at Link. He helped make Link the first team from the Midwest to make the National Prep School Invitational (NPSI).
