PORTLAND, Ore. -- The Portland Pilots held the Cal Poly Mustangs scoreless and cruised to a 5-0 shutout win Friday at home at Merlo Field. Portland improved to 1-0-2 overall following the win, going unbeaten through their first three games for the first time since 2018.
How it Happened
- Portland opened the scoring when Gurman Sangha scored his first goal of the season in the 21st minute, assisted by Sebastian Nava and Nick Fernandez. The goal put Sangha at five points on the year.
- The Pilots increased their lead to 2-0 on a goal from Jake Arteaga -- his first goal of the season -- in the 30th minute off a set piece.
