Portland Preserves Unbeaten Streak With 2-2 Draw Against Gaels

PORTLAND, Ore. -- The Portland Pilots preserved their seven-game unbeaten streak thanks to a pair of goals from Joe Highfield, drawing the Saint Mary's Gaels 2-2 at Merlo Field. Portland moved to 4-4-7 overall and 1-0-4 in WCC action following the tie.

This is the first brace of the year for Highfield, who now has a team-high five goals on the season. Kash Oladapo also collected five saves on the evening.

How it Happened

Saint Mary's opened the scoring when Wade Muttitt scored in the 24th minute, assisted by Jack Vestberg. The Pilots levelled the match in the second half on a goal from Highfield -- a score that came on a penalty drawn by Muslim Umar -- in the 71st minute.
