MISSOULA, Mont. – The Portland women's tennis team beat Montana State 6-1 on Saturday at the Peak Racquet Club to complete a weekend road sweep of the Montana schools. The Pilots (4-2) defeated the Montana Griz by a 6-1 margin on Friday. Portland has now won three matches in a row.
The Pilots secured the doubles point as Laura Okazaki and Emily Soares cruised to a 6-1 win at No. 3 followed by Jelena Lukic and Neli Sunjic clinching with a 6-4 win at No. 1 doubles.
Lukic and freshman Iva Zelic then cruised to straight set wins at the top of the singles lineup.
