Portland falls to No. 23 Saint Mary’s in season finale

PORTLAND, Ore. – In their final match of the season, the Portland Pilots fell to the No. 23-ranked Saint Mary's Gaels by a 3-1 margin Saturday afternoon at Merlo Field. Brandon Cambridge scored the lone goal for the Pilots in the 59th minute.

The loss puts the Pilots final record at 3-4-3 overall and 1-3-3 in WCC play, while the Gaels improved to 6-2-1 and 4-2-1 in league action.

Saint Mary's got on the board early with a goal in the third minute of the match. Lucas Andrews scored his fourth goal of the season after taking the ball from Portland in the Gaels' attacking third and quickly made it a 1-0 game.
