SPOKANE, Wash. – The Portland men's basketball team came up short in an 81-50 loss to the No. 19 Gonzaga Bulldogs Thursday at Spokane Arena.
Vincent Delano led the Pilots (5-11, 0-3 WCC) with 12 points. Bol Dengdit also added six points and eight rebounds and Max Mackinnon contributed eight points and six rebounds.
Portland struggled to find an offensive rhythm and shot 33 percent overall and 4-for-25 from three-point range. The Bulldogs (11-4, 2-0) finished at 43 percent from the field and 11-for-24 from beyond the arc.
How It Happened
Portland grabbed the early lead on an Austin Rapp three-pointer before Gonzaga used a 20-0 run over the next seven minutes to create separation.
