PORTLAND, Ore. – University of Portland men's basketball has signed 6-7 wing Josh McSwiggan (Loughborough, England/UTEP/Casper College) to a National Letter of Intent, head coach Terry Porter announced on Wednesday. McSwiggan will join the Pilots and is expected to have three seasons of eligibility.
"Josh will be a good fit on campus and is expected to be an impact player for our program," Porter said. "He has great size for his position and will be a versatile wing in our system. Josh is extremely athletic, can shoot with range, and is a good passer."
A member of Great Britain Youth National Teams, McSwiggan (6-7, 200) signed with UTEP following his prep career and redshirted the 2015-16 season with the Miners after an NCAA ruling requiring him to sit out one year.
