PORTLAND, Ore. --- The Portland Pilots lost in four sets at the Alex G. Spanos Center on Saturday afternoon, losing a tight match throughout against the Pacific Tigers. Portland fell with set scores of 22-25, 22-25, 25-23 and 25-14.
Refusing to go out quietly, the Pilots rebounded in the third set after losing the first two to make 2-1 Tigers. Senior Shayla Hoeft was essential for the Pilots putting a halt to a Pacific sweep, collecting six kills throughout the set.
Hoeft led the squad in kills with 13, while sophomore Claire Forrest wasn't far behind with 11 kills.
