PORTLAND, Ore. -- Jonas Salk, Doyle Kane and Brady Bean combined for 11 hits and eight RBI's to help propel the Portland Pilots past the Pepperdine Waves 9-4 on Friday.
Curtis Hebert (2-0) got the win for Portland (15-19, 8-2). The right-hander went five innings, giving up four runs, two earned, on six hits, allowing two walks and striking out two. Kaden Segel also pitched well, going two shutout innings while allowing two hits, walking none and striking out two for the save.
