SEATTLE, Wash. – Sophomore forward Nedya Sawan scored her third goal of the season in the 64th minute to push the Portland Pilots past the Washington Huskies 1-0. The win puts the Pilots at 2-2 on the season.
Sawan was the lone scorer for the Pilots in this one. The goal marked the third for Sawan this year and the fifth of her career. Sawan remains the only Pilot to have scored this season.
Washington put immense pressure on the Pilots right from the start. Portland struggled to cross the midfield line with the ball while the Huskies seemingly lived in the final third.
