SEATTLE, Wash. – The Portland women's tennis team won the doubles point before falling to Washington 6-1 in women's tennis action Saturday afternoon at the Nordstrom Tennis Center.
Rimona Rouf and Aleksandra Dimitrijevic beat the No. 56-ranked doubles team in the country by a 6-3 margin at No. 2 doubles and then Iva Zelic and Sally Pethybridge clinched with a 6-4 win at No. 1 doubles.
The Pilots also started singles strong with Rimona Rouf taking the opening set at No. 3 singles, but the Huskies played solid thereafter and cruised to victories at all six singles positions.
