PORTLAND, Ore -- Peter Allegro was electric on the mound for the Portland Pilots, punching out 10 Pepperdine hitters over 6.1 innings of work to help power the Pilots past the Waves 5-2. The win gives Portland their first sweep of the season.
In addition to his 10 strikeouts, Allegro (2-2) went 6.1 innings, giving up two runs on three hits and walking two for Portland (13-6, 3-0). Jacob Dobmeier also made an impact on the mound for the Pilots, throwing two shutout innings while allowing one hit, with no walks and two strikeouts, earning his fifth save of the season.
