STOCKTON, Calif. -- The Portland Pilots volleyball team won their first match at the Alex G. Spanos Center in program history, sweeping the Pacific Tigers in three sets on Thursday night. The Pilots won in three sets, winning 25-19, 25-17, and 25-22.
The Pilots (15-4, 3-4 WCC) have not lost a set in their last three matches, going a perfect 9-0 that included sweeps over San Francisco and Santa Clara. The Pacific Tigers (6-12, 1-6) close out their weekend against the Gonzaga Bulldogs on Oct. 13th.
"I thought we executed at a very high level for two sets," head coach Jeff Baxter said after the match.
