Pilots sweep Pacific 18-3 thanks to offensive surge

STOCKTON, Calif. – The Portland Pilots drove in a season-high 18 runs in their 18-5 victory over the Pacific Tigers on Sunday. The win completed the sweep for the Pilots and pushed them to 3-0 in conference play.

The Pilots' 18 runs came off an impressive 19 hits, just two shy of the season high they set on Friday in their opener against Pacific. Portland tallied four home runs and 11 extra base hits as well. Chad Stevens led the way for Portland at the plate, batting 4-for-5 on the day with three doubles and a homer.
