SPOKANE, Wash. -- The Portland Pilots volleyball team won their only match of the weekend, sweeping the Gonzaga Bulldogs in three sets on Saturday afternoon. The Pilots won in three sets, winning 25-21, 25-19, and 25-22.
The Pilots (16-5, 4-5 WCC) recorded their 10th sweep of the season, including their fourth within the WCC. Next weekend, Gonzaga (6-14, 3-6) will host San Diego and No. 1 BYU.
"It was exciting to see the team execute so many things we worked on in practice this week," head coach Jeff Baxter said after the match. "(We're) looking forward to a great week of practice back on the bluff".
