PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland men's tennis team picked up its second home sweep in as many days with a convincing 7-0 victory over the Idaho Vandals Saturday at the Louisiana-Pacific Tennis Center. The Pilots, who swept Seattle on Friday, improve to 3-3 on the season, while Idaho falls to 1-1.
Portland won two of three doubles matches and then swept all six singles matches in straight sets.
"I'm surprised and happy that we didn't give up a set in singles today," Portland head coach Aaron Gross said. "We definitely respect Idaho. They are always talented and we usually have close, competitive matches.
