Pilots Snatch Victory in Extra Innings Against Saint Mary's 7-5

MORAGA, Calif. -- After 11 innings of baseball, the Portland Pilots came out on top with a 7-5 win over the Saint Mary's Gaels in Moraga. The win gives the Pilots the first game of the series.

Logan Anderson (1-0) picked up the victory out of the bullpen for Portland (13-17, 6-1). The southpaw went two innings, giving up one run on two hits. Curtis Hebert put together a quality start for the Pilots, throwing six innings, giving up two runs, all earned, on six hits, with two walks and four strikeouts.

Offensively, Tyler Howard continued his on-base streak with a 3-for-5 day at the plate.
