SEATTLE, Wash. --- The Portland Pilots women's rowing team competed at the Husky Open on Montlake Cut in Seattle, Wash., on Saturday morning. Portland sent three boats Seattle, with the varsity eight highlighting the day, finishing first in their heat to record a new program meet record of 6:45.390. Miranda Reyes was at the coxswain position and Desi Petrova at stroke for the varsity eight. The varsity eights most recently recorded fastest time at the Husky Open was in 2017 when they crossed the finish line in 6:45.390.
Portland's second varsity eight and varsity four also competed at the open, with both placing third in their heats in with times of 6:29.
