Pilots Score Early, Take Midweek Match over Redhawks 8-2

PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland Pilots (15-5, 2-1 WCC) earned their third win in a row with an 8-2 victory over the Seattle U Redhawks (6-11, 4-2 WAC). The win gives the Pilots their best record through 20 games since the 2012 season.

Brock Gillis earned his second win of the season after pitching five innings with two runs and three hits allowed and four strikeouts. Jarrod Billing took the loss for the Redhawks.

The Pilots were solid at the plate today, driving in eight runs off 12 hits. Sam Brown batted 1.000 on the day, hitting 4-for-4 with an RBI.
