EUGENE, Ore.---The Portland Pilots men's and women's cross country teams performed well at the Oregon XC Open on Friday morning, seeing several members of both squads complete the day with new personal records. It was the first time this season both programs faced nationally ranked programs, including northwest foes Oregon and Oregon State.
For the women, in her first race this season, Anna Pataki led the Pilots in fourth place overall in the 5K with a time of 17:00.3. Portland returners Stella Gillman (17:02.6) and Victoria Weir (17:08.2) took the sixth and seventh places, respectively, while junior Emma Jenkins garnered ninth place in a time of 17:12.
