PORTLAND, Ore. – Moses Wood led five Pilots in double figures with 21 points to guide Portland past Arkansas-Pine Bluff 86-74 Thursday night at the Chiles Center. The Pilots won their third straight to improve to 3-1 on the season, while the Golden Lions drop to 0-4.
Portland shot 56 percent from the floor overall, dished out a season-high 19 assists, outrebounded UAPB by a 37-29 margin and racked up a 42-18 edge in points in the paint.
Wood was an efficient 6-for-8 from the field and 7-of-8 at the foul line. He also grabbed eight rebounds in 32 minutes of action for the Pilots.
