PROVO, Utah -- The Portland Pilots scored 19 runs over five innings and 22 in total in their series-clinching 22-8 win over the BYU Cougars.
Nick Brink (3-0) got the win for Portland (24-18, 13-8). The right-hander went seven innings, giving up two runs, one earned, on seven hits, allowing one walk and striking out five.
Jake Holcroft went 3-for-6 with a double and a triple in addition to his five RBI's for the Pilots. Zach Toglia furnished a standout performance at the dish as well, going 3-for-5 with a home run and three RBI's. Henry Muench also contributed for Portland, putting together two hits in four trips to the plate while adding four RBI's.
