STOCKTON, Calif. -- The Portland Pilots lit up the scoreboard in their 19-4 victory over the Pacific Tigers. It was their fourth WCC victory in a row and their seventh straight win against the Tigers.
Joey Gartrell (3-1) started on the mound and picked up the win for Portland (14-7, 4-0). The right-hander went seven innings, giving up three runs, all of them earned, on six hits, allowing no walks and striking out five.
Evan Scavotto's three extra base hits were the highlight of a 3-for-4 day, which included two doubles, a home run, two walks and seven RBI's.
