SPOKANE, Wash. – Portland picked up a 2-1 win against Gonzaga in West Coast Conference men's soccer Sunday afternoon at Luger Field. Luke Hendel converted a first half penalty and Miguel Yuste scored 20 seconds before halftime for the eventual game-winner.
Miles Robinson was in the mix and initiated both scores for the Pilots (2-2-1, 1-1-1 WCC).
Portland grabbed the 1-0 lead in the 37th minute as Robinson made a run down the left side and was tackled in the penalty area giving the Pilots a penalty kick. Hendel stepped to the stop and drilled it cleanly into the back of the net.
