PORTLAND, Ore. -- Alex Fowler crept closer to the all-time scoring record for the Portland Pilots in their 70-57 win over the Pepperdine Waves.
The Pilots (15-6, 9-1) had two players score in double figures, led by Fowler, who had 26 points. Maisie Burnham tacked on 12 points and McKelle Meek added five points, four assists and two steals.
The Portland offense was very productive from outside, pouring in 10 3-pointers on 22 attempts. Fowler was the most prolific shooter for the Pilots, draining four treys in the contest. The Portland defense held Pepperdine shooters to only 35.
