PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland Pilots men's soccer team will take on the No. 5 Oregon State Beavers in their second of three exhibitions before the start of the regular season. The two teams will play on Monday, Aug. 15 here at Merlo Field at 6 p.m.
The Pilots defeated the Southern Oregon Raiders 3-1 in their first exhibition game. The Pilots were tabbed as the preseason favorites to win the WCC, being picked first in the annual WCC Preseason Coaches Poll. They also had two players named to the WCC Preseason Team in midfielder Jake Arteaga and goalkeeper George Tasouris.
