PORTLAND, Ore. --- The Portland Pilots will be in Santa Monica, Calif. this weekend for the inaugural West Coast Conference Beach Volleyball Championship. Portland will first take on San Francisco on Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Ocean Park Beach.
"We're incredibly excited," said co-head coach Dan Mathews. "Our conference is very strong in beach volleyball, so the challenge of competing against the top teams in the country is a great opportunity to get better and establish our program."
Pepperdine is currently the second ranked team in the country and enters the WCC tournament as the number one seed.
