PORTLAND, Ore. --- The Portland Pilots men's and women's track and field teams will head to Salem, Ore., on Friday afternoon for the two-day OSU High Performance Meet held at Whyte Track & Field Center.
"This looks like a terrific opportunity to test ourselves," said men's head coach Rob Conner. "Weather looks good and the competition looks great."
All of the men will compete on Friday, the majority of them in the 1500m, with the exceptions of select Pilots who will compete in the steeplechase and the 5000m. Redshirt freshmen Joe Horen and Jakob Heitt will both compete in the 3000m steeplechase, and fellow redshirt freshmen Tayte Pollmann and Michael Murphy accompanied by redshirt sophomore Carter Aebi will compete in the 5000m.
