PORTLAND, Ore. --- The Pilots women's rowing team will make their annual trek to downtown Portland this weekend to compete at the annual Portland Fall Classic, which is scheduled for Sunday morning on the Willamette River. The Pilots will be racing seven boats at the classic, beginning with the varsity eight.
Portland's varsity eight will be the first boat to hit the water, which is scheduled for 8:36 a.m. The second eight follows a few minutes later as the event's format is a head race, which means crews will start one at a time with about 10-15 seconds in between each boat.
