ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Portland men's tennis jumped out to an early lead with the doubles point, but the No. 68-ranked New Mexico Lobos pulled out a 4-2 victory Friday afternoon at the McKinnon Family Tennis Stadium.
Portland earned the doubles point after Sema Pankin and Eleftherios Neos cruised to a 6-3 win at No. 1 followed by Nicolas Ocana and Nikolas Tvedt pulling out a 6-4 win at No. 2.
Singles produced some close matches, but the host Lobos grabbed the late momentum to put the match away.
