SEATTLE, Wash. -- Despite picking up 10 hits in the ballgame and out-hitting Washington, Portland was unable to push across more runs, falling to the Huskies 8-3 on Tuesday.
Zach Johnson (0-1) started and took the loss on the mound for Portland (16-8). Jacob Dobmeier was a bright spot out of the bullpen, going two shutout innings without allowing a hit.
Evan Scavotto drove in the most runs for the Pilots, going 1-for-4 in the ballgame with two RBI's. Jake Holcroft also chipped in at 2-for-5 for Portland, Briley Knight finished 2-for-4 and Ty Saunders went 2-for-3.
