PORTLAND, Ore. -- All nine starters reached base safely for Portland, helping the Pilots put seven runs on the board to beat the Gonzaga Bulldogs 7-4 Saturday. The win evens the series.
Peter Allegro (5-3) started on the mound and picked up the win for Portland (21-17, 10-7). The right-hander went six innings, giving up four runs, all of them earned, on five hits, allowing three walks and striking out five. Jacob Dobmeier earned the save.
Nich Klemp led the way offensively for the Pilots, going 3-for-4 in the ballgame with two doubles and two RBI's. Zach Toglia compiled a noteworthy day at the plate as well, going 1-for-3 with a home run, a walk and two RBI's.
