SAN DIEGO, Calif. – In their season finale, the Portland Pilots avoided a sweep by defeating the San Diego Toreros 6-2 at Fowler Park. The win puts the Pilots' record at 24-26 overall and 14-12 in WCC play to end the season.
After pitching a stellar seven innings, Christian Peters earned the win. Peters struck out eight batters in this outing, allowing only two runs and four hits in the process. Eli Morse closed the game out for the Pilots, striking out three batters while allowing no hits or runs.
The Pilots had six runs on the night off seven hits.
