PORTLAND, Ore. -- The Portland Pilots were beat 16-5 on Saturday by the LMU Lions, evening the series between the WCC squads. Carter Gaston (2-5) got the ball to start for Portland (10-17, 4-1) and took the loss. Offensively, the Pilots recorded just two hits, with Spencer Scott's 1-for-3 day with two RBI's leading the way. Tyler Howard extended his on-base streak to 20 games as well.

The Pilots got on the scoreboard first, starting in the second inning. Scott drove in two runs for Portland with a single. The Lions then rallied to score five runs and take a 5-2 lead before the Pilots got back on the board in the third.
