EUGENE, Ore. – Portland led by double digits late in regulation before the Oregon Ducks sent the game to overtime with a late basket and took control in the extra period for an 80-70 win Tuesday night at Matthew Knight Arena.
Vukasin Masic and Vincent Delano scored 12 points each to lead the Pilots, while freshman Todd Jones recorded a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Graduate guard Chris Austin finished with 11 points and moved past the 1,000-point mark for his career as he came into the game needing 10 to reach the milestone.
Consecutive runners in the lane by Austin and Masic gave Portland its largest lead of the game at 54-41 with 8:11 remaining.
