SEATTLE, Wash. – In their final match in Seattle, the Portland Pilots fell to the Seattle Redhawks 1-0 at Championship Field. The loss puts the Pilots at 2-3-0 on the year.
Jolie St. Louis was the lone scorer in this one, doing so in the 42nd minute. It was the first shot and goal of St. Louis's career.
Seattle boasts a strong attack, and they put that on display right from the start. They alternated well between building up slowly out of the back and using long balls to create quick-strike opportunities. The Redhawks tried to catch the Pilots off-guard, but freshman keeper Bre Norris let nothing by her early.
