PORTLAND, Ore. – The San Francisco Dons defeated the Portland women's tennis team by a 5-2 margin on Saturday in West Coast Conference action at the Louisiana Pacific Tennis Center. The Pilots fall to 9-5 overall, 1-2 in league play, while the Dons improve to 11-5 and 3-1 in WCC play. Portland had its seven-match win streak at LPTC snapped, while USF has now won seven in a row.
San Francisco secured the doubles point with wins at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions, but Portland's No. 1 tandem of Iva Zelic and Sally Pethybridge improved to 24-7 overall this season and 12-2 in dual matches with a 6-2 victory.
