SEATTLE, WASH. --- The Portland Pilots women's rowing team sent all boats to compete at the Husky Open on Montlake Cut in Seattle, Wash., on Saturday morning. Five of the six Portland boats had strong performances to take first in five of the six races.
"We had good performances across the board," said head coach Pasha Spencer. "The highlight of the day was the second varsity eight and varsity four earned medals in their events. It's a program first and definitely something to build upon next week."
Portland's varsity eight, second eight, varsity four A, and varsity four B each placed first in their heats.
