SAN DIEGO, Calif. – The University of Portland rowing team concluded the final day of action at the San Diego Crew Classic on Sunday, highlighted by the first varsity eight taking second in their heat. The varsity four also took fourth in their heat while the second varsity eight finished eighth.
The Pilots matched their highest finish of the season in the first varsity eight race. Their time of 7:06.692 was also faster than yesterday's time by just under 20 seconds. Sage Iona was the coxswain while Catherine Watson was the stroke.
The varsity four also improved their time by almost 20 seconds with a time of 8:24.
