MONMOUTH, Ore --- The Portland Pilots men's and women's track and field teams concluded competition at the John Knight Twilight at McArthur field on Friday evening. Sophomores Lacey Conner and Matt Schumann produced standout performances on the night both in the 3000m steeplechase.
Along with Conner in the 3000m, sophomore Natalie Smith and freshman Savannah Craig recorded personal bests, finishing their race in 11:22.24 and 12:13.68, respectively. Sophomore Maya Murphy-Cook also had strong races on the night with new personal records in the 200m (25.91) and long jump (5.17).
"Emily Bechen did an amazing job with an 11 sec PR and Lacey Conner impressed me in her first steeple, jumping to number nine all-time," said women's head coach Ian Solof.
